The short version: Pawperwork helps you organise your pet's paperwork and catch mistakes. It isn't a vet, a government agency or an airline, and they have the final say. Always confirm the rules with them before you travel.

About these terms

What Pawperwork does

Builds a checklist and timeline for moving or travelling with dogs and cats on the routes it covers.
Checks the details you enter, and documents you upload, for common timing and paperwork mistakes.
Offers an AI assistant, powered by Claude, that answers questions and can fill in your plan.

Information, not official advice

Pawperwork gives general information to help you plan. It is not veterinary, legal or immigration advice.
Pet travel rules change often. We check our sources regularly and show the date we last did so, but we can't promise every rule is current or complete.
Official veterinarians, government authorities (such as USDA APHIS, the CDC, APHA and GOV.UK, and the veterinary authorities of Portugal, Spain and Italy) and your airline or travel company decide whether your pet can travel. Confirm the requirements with them before you book or travel.
The assistant and document check use AI, which can make mistakes or misread a document. Check anything important yourself.

Your responsibilities

Enter accurate information. The plan is only as good as the dates and details you give it.
Use Pawperwork for your own pets' moves and trips, and only upload documents you're entitled to share.
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break it, overload it, or use the assistant for anything unrelated to pet travel.

Paid features

During testing, paid features are free to try and nothing is charged. Before we start charging, we'll publish the prices, what's included and your rights, including the EU right of withdrawal for digital services.

Liability

We work hard to make Pawperwork accurate and useful, but we can't guarantee your pet will be accepted for travel or entry. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses caused by changed rules, decisions by authorities or airlines, or information you didn't double-check. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Portuguese or EU law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes and availability

We may update Pawperwork and these terms. If we make an important change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We may pause or change features, especially while the service is being tested.

Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protections of your own country's consumer law.
